ROADSIDE (GARAGES) LTD WORKSHOP TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BUSINESS

I the undersigned hereby authorise Roadside (Garages) Limited to carry out the work specified overleaf: subject to the following terms and conditions:

  1. I understand that I will be liable for the costs of all work carried out as authorised overleaf, excepting that which is covered under the terms and conditions of any manfacturing, extended or approved used car warranties.
  2. I am fully aware that any monies owed for servicing and repair work have to be paid in full prior to the vehicle being removed from the premises of Roadside (Garages) Limited, or prior to any pre-arranged delivery taking place away from the dealership premises.
  3. If the area on the job card overleaf entitled "" supplementary or additional work' has not been completed by you when signing the job card, then no further additional work will be carried out until we have received authorisation from you.
  4. If you fail to complete boxes a) or b), then we will assume that you wish to dispose of the waste described
  5. All manufacturer approved parts fitted to your vehicle by Roadside (Garages) Limited come with a 12 month warranty against manufacturing In addition to this all repairs and workmanship carried out by Roadside (Garages) Limited will be warranted for a period not exceeding 3 months or 3000 miles whichever occurs first.
  6. The forms of payment that Roadside (Garages) Limited accept for the settlement of invoices are: Cash, Cheques covered by a bank card guarantee or verified by Transax, or a credit / debit card.
  7. In leaving my vehicle in the custody of Roadside (Garages) Limited, I am aware that the company accepts no liability for the personal contents of my vehicle Furthermore Roadside (Garages) Limited will only accept responsibility in regard to vehicle damage where it can be shown to have occurred within the confines of the workshop of Roadside (Garages) Limited.
  8. If no contact telephone number has been left with reception on receipt of your vehicle, repairs may be delayed if further information or authorisation is required from you.
  9. You may be asked to give help in diagnosing any fault in your vehicle, and particularly where faults are of an intermittent This may involve you being asked to accompany one of our technicians on a test drive of the vehicle in order that the fault may be diagnosed.
  10. We will keep any old parts replaced on your vehicle only if you specifically request us to do so and only until the vehicle leaves the premises after repairs have been completed.
  11. If a battery or tyres have been replaced on your vehicle, we will ask you at the time of receiving your vehicle or at the time you give us authority if you wish to dispose of the old tyres / battery Should you wish us to dispose of the old tyres / battery there will be a charge of £2.00 per tyre / battery. This charge is to cover the cost of disposing of the waste environmentally in compliance with EEC legislation.
  12. Courtesy vehicles are provided at the discretion of Roadside (Garages) Limited and are subject to All courtesy vehicles must be comprehensively insured at all times.
  13. It is your responsibility to transfer your insurance from your own vehicle to a courtesy This must be carried out at your own expense and in your own time prior to the courtesy vehicle leaving our premises.
  14. Should you fail to have the vehicle insured comprehensively, then you will be personally and wholly liable for any subsequent legal action ensuing as a
  15. When a courtesy vehicle is in your posession you are responsible for the running
  16. It is your responsility to drive the courtesy vehicle with due care and attention at all times and you are liable for the payment of fixed penalty notices for any motoring offences detected whilst the vehicle is in your charge.
  17. Any damage caused to a courtesy vehicle and not reported to us prior to your departure from our premises will be deemed to be your responsbility and Roadside (Garages) Limited will expect reimbursement for the cost of any repairs found necessary.
  18. When a courtesy vehicle is in your posession it is your responsibility to check the lights, oil, coolant levels and windscreen washer levels prior to driving on the public Any deciciencies found in regard to the preceding items must be brought to the attention of Service Reception immediately and prior to driving the vehicle on the public road.
  19. Smoking or carrying animals is not permitted in any courtesy
  20. When repairs are completed and you have been notified of such, you must return the courtesy vehicle on the same working Roadside (Garages) Limited must be advised if for any reason this is not possible and we reserve the right to impose a charge for its use in any intervening period of time pending the return of the courtesy vehicle. This charge will be made based on prevailing vehicle rental rates at the time.
  21. Should you fail to remove a vehicle from the premises of Roadside (Garages) Limited when asked to do so, then storage charges may be levied from that date until the vehicle is removed. These will be levied at the appropriate rate + VAT at the prevailing rate.
  22. Should you decide to stop repairs to your vehicle after work has commenced, then you may do so by informing us as soon as You will however be responsible and liable for all costs incurred in working on your vehicle up and until the time we receive your instruction in this regard. All repairs carried out must be paid for in full prior to the vehicle being removed from our premises.
